Biography
I am a Software Engineer at Google working on computer vision and machine learning. Before that, I was a Research Scientist at eBay Inc., where I worked on both fundamental and practical computer vision and machine learning problems. My research interests include large-scale visual search, fine-grained classification, visual saliency detection, object localization/detection, image indexing/hashing, and deep learning algorithms/architecture, etc. My work on visual search has been deployed to production, supporting multiple products across teams, such as eBay ShopBot and Close5.
2019.3: One paper is accepted by ICME 2019 as an oral presentation.
2018.11: We have released the large-scale street fashion dataset, a.k.a., ModaNet, as well as the challenge.
2018.7: One paper on a new large-scale street fashion dataset is accepted by ACM Multimedia 2018 as an oral presentation. Dataset will be released. Stay tuned!
2018.3: I gave a talk on visual search at eBay at GTC 2018 in San Jose.
2017.8: One paper on real-time visual saliency detection is accepted by WACV 2018.
2017.5: One paper on visual search at eBay is accepted by KDD 2017.
2017.3: Extended version of our ICCV 2015 paper is accepted by TPAMI Special Issue on Learning with Shared Information for Computer Vision and Multimedia Analysis.
2017.1: One paper is accepted by Pattern Recognition.
2016.4: I joined a new team at eBay Inc. as a Research Scientist.
